Vatican City (Tuesday, 12/30/2014, Gaudium Press) Aimed at the formation of priests and lay people in the administration of human and economic resources in the ecclesiastical area, the Pontifical Lateran University offers a new course on church management, as an initiative of the “University of the Pope” in “Training of High Level”.

According to the Rector of the university the course will contribute to “prepare the Church in face of the new challenges of our complex society, which requires transparency and new skills”.
Bishop dal Covolo recalled that the Pontifical Lateran University, “inspired in the teachings of Pope Francis, who is giving new inputs for the evangelization and for the missionary spirit of the Church”, launches a school focused on training coordinators who can help optimize human and economic resources , “combining expertise and Gospel.”
“What we decided to undertake is a unique school in its gender, in order to get the good practices consolidated within the secular environment, to assist pastoral workers to tackle everyday problems, such as the transparent management of financial resources, good organization of human resources, effective communication, the need for innovation and greater community involvement” explained the Rector of the Lateran University.
The course starts on February 16, 2015, lasting for a period of 15 months, attended by members of parishes, dioceses, entities and organizations who are active in the Catholic Church. (LMI)
